Winter grapes are a new series in the collection. I used to overlook photographing winter grapes because they fundamentally have been passed up for winemaking. This fall I saw the winter grapes in a new light, romantic, left for the birds, left for the gods, left on the vines as a gracious gesture. The very dark purple skins against the turning leaves of fall made for some lucky photographs and some of my current favorite in the whole sf bay collection. "winter grapes".
